Merry Christmas Everyone!!

almost there

Well, got the tree almost done. Thing about the aluminum tree, is that too many ornaments make it look not so good. Unlike our green tree, where I put a kazillion ornaments on from the inside to the very tip of the branches, this one just doesn't work that way.

I wanted to take a picture of it while the sun was shining (gotta catch it when it's out!) but I'm not quite done with the ornaments, so here's a preview so far, sans colored rotating light thingie.

I think next year I'll put our main, ornamental green tree with my collection of ornies on it, and put the silver tree in the dining room corner with the light on it. That will look better I think.

Anyway, just waiting to pick up mumsy from her perm, then grocery shop for the holiday menu, come home and wrap presents, then I'll be done. yay.

In the meantime, I just feel so removed from my client work, I can't do anything till these few days are overwith, ya know? Especially having to save lives the next 2 days...

Zen frame-o-mind

Ok folks, this is it. Time to get serious about Christmas. No, not that kind of serious ("The True Meaning of Christmas"), but serious shopping, decorating, menu planning etc., etc.

I should be getting my shiny tree today, and a few things I ordered online, so I'll get the decorations out. Seems a shame that it's only going to be up a little while - seeing that it's Christmas this week! yikes. ok, simma-down-nah, simma down! It'll all get done.

Of course it wouldn't be saving lives work if I didn't fulfill my holiday obligations, so I'll be busy with that on Thurs & Fri. Then! Because my beloved Packers played like crap yesterday, Friday's game with the Vikings is going to be a nail biter for sure. (did you see that Viking/Detroit game???) grrr.

And finally, both parties were good this weekend. A little wine on Sat., and some beer last nite... not bad. And believe it or not, that's probably the first time in about a year or so that I've even had a beer. Just don't go out like that much anymore. I'm mad 'cos I forgot to bring my camera last nite, but I did remember Saturday - and because I'm lazy, you can see a couple of pics from Jen's b-day party here. Mandy's condo - in an old converted warehouse (which is extremely in vogue these days - lofts/condos are being built like crazy around here!) - was very cool. Can't tell from the photos of course, but very nicely decorated as well - check out #5 pic. That piece of artwork looks stunning in person!

Anyhooo... that's the Monday morning poop. Have a good one all, and peace out while you finish your Holiday preparations. I'll be trying to achieve Christmas Week Zen myself, as I'm just this far away from total freak out! Know what I mean?
