bye.

ok, so I’m silly. Actually, I do feel pretty giddy. I started the Chantix 3 days ago, and whether it’s just timing on my part, everything is going well. By everything, I mean my ‘eating better’ mode. Last week I also decided to get serious about watching what I eat again. Seems like lately – last 4-6 mths actually – I have been addicted to grainy bread and sweets. No, still don’t buy junk food, but it’s EVerywhere at the hospital!

You know how that is – people bring in donuts, candy, cookies… junkjunkjunk! Of course, my co-workers all tie me down and force feed me.

But besides that, I see my future without ciggies – soon. Go me! (Lisa, I have my “quit meter” ready to go up again!)

Hey, did anyone else cry at the end of “Desperate Housewives?” Poor little possum.

All of a sudden I don’t feel like talking anymore.
Nice to see y’all.
xoxo

Good luck with the Chantix! I’m trying to get my husband to join me as a non-smoker, and he’s promised me he’s going to start quitting this upcoming weekend.

I hope it works for you!!

I quit after 35 years of obsessive smoking about three years back using Wellbutrin.

It’s nice not to have the obsession anymore.

My best wishes for a speedy, painless quit.

Just like that? You know, I’ve often read that men have an easier time of quitting…

Ya, it’s hard when one quits and the other still smokes. Hubby quit 10 yrs ago and can’t wait for me to!

    Good Luck to yours Lisa!

    Thanks!

He’d actually quit for like two months and then started back up at the beginning of October…smoking was the only thing that kept him from getting really sick, as he was down and out with four kidney stones all of last month!

Good luck Kitty! Freedom is great! Slavery is F–ked!

    NO MORE BALL and chain!

I suggest you keep a slip of paper in your pocket with all the positive things associated with NO MORE SMOKING. You know….health…..money…..odor…..vanity….

Chew gum. Drink water. Drink hot tea. Try meditating. Being thankful being alive for your family…………WALK or better yet RIDE a BIKE! etc.

Best of luck with a terrible thing to kick.
