I’m feeling antsy today. What’s a little surprising to me is now that I’m truly sitting here 24/7, as opposed to 24/7 minus 2 days when I was out saving lives, is that it gets a little tiresome. *NEWSFLASH* Yes, really. Hence the more frequent posting I suppose. More breaks. More freckles. huh? More freckles ‘cos I’m driving more. Driving more to Starbucks with my car top down. More sun, more freckles. OH! time to vote!
Know what I’ve been doing every hour, about 16 times a day? Voting in a local contest to win a $2,500 Window Treatment Prize – blinds, drapes, whatever my little heart desires. I have to jot down the times that I vote ‘cos I forget from hour to hour exactly what time it was the last time I voted. Yes, I’m obsessed. Have you seen how much those suckers cost now? Damn, and I have a lot of windows. So ya, time to vote dude.
well, i hope you win! my Mom spent a fortune on drapes and blinds for her living room. i couldn’t believe how much she had dished out, when she is normally Mrs. Penny Pincher-Frugal about everything. but, she had them custom made, picked out the fabric herself, had them sized to fit, etc. and they looked nice in the end, if a bit too floral for my taste. :) in my cookie-cutter apartment, i can spend $30 to get a pre-fab set from Target and call it gravy. but, when you have big windows, or abnormally sized ones, that just doesn’t work. you have those extra wide extra tall bungalow-style windows, right?
yup. Bought the cheapest blinds we could find… actually, the ONLY ones we could find that weren’t over at the LEAST 100.00 a piece! man-o-man. That’s all I want, blinds. Roller shades, with no thingies hanging down. I like our windows, ‘cept at nite want ’em down… we are in the city after all.
