no more saving lives

August 4, 2008 7 Comments

Yup, that’s what I said. The end of a saving lives Kitty and the beginning of a totally independent business woman. Ya, scary, but much thought went into it of course. I just thought I’d tell ya.

What are the words I’m thinking of? umm… “sad but sweet?” no…  is it? Maybe. Oh I don’t know, but you know what I mean, right?

I don’t feel like going to bed. I actually was going to mess around with FMG and do a little tidying up and dust off a few things, but then I wound up looking around in there and visiting some dead links – it’s amazing to me how many domains are no more. What happened to those people/sites who were around for so long, or at least it seemed like awhile at the time, and then they’re gone – just like that. Poof.

Oh well. Who the heck knows the reasons behind it all.
Guess I’ll take it to bed.
c’yall next time. OH, has anyone upgraded WP without backing everything up first? I really should upgrade this puppy but don’t feel like backing it up (although it may be very easy, I don’t know), then I think, oh what the hell’s the dif. We’ll see. Probably won’t happen for awhile anyway.

congratulations on going with the biz full time, and my condolences on no longer saving lives. i used to giggle everytime you wrote you were the “flo’ ho’.”

i always drag my feet about upgrading. it seems like such a chore. but then when i finally do it, and it takes about 10 minutes (or less), i wonder what all the fuss was about. last time i upgraded, i got away with just exporting all my archives, and that seemed to be just peachy. WP seems really stable. (but they always say, just in case, do the backup…)

Thanks Tina, but it certainly is different… more so than I thought it would be.

It’s nice to know that some things never change. Like you and Bran and Lori I know are always going to be out there spreading your creativity around. Good luck with your new 24/7.
