M-e-r-r-y Christmas!
Yes, Grampa’s chair is stuck. In the UP position. Anyone remember Mrs. Hoffnagle? She was a patient on the 80’s t.v. show St. Elsewhere, and she died when her hospital bed controls got stuck and the head came up as well as the foot of the bed & smooshed her.
No, Grampa didn’t fly out of the chair or anything… don’t exactly know what happened ‘cos we were out and when we came home and I walked in the living room, he was sitting all forlorn & tiny looking in hubby’s huge manly-man chair. He couldn’t really describe what happened, all I know is that it doesn’t go down (but it did keep going up).
Hopefully a service man will be able to come out tomorrow… hmm. Why always on either the weekend or a holiday?? Should be an interesting Christmas Day if he doesn’t.
Oh well, it won’t be the end of the world… we’ll all be together. Healthy, eating a great meal, and we’ll enjoy each other’s company. That’s what memories are made of.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!
xoxo

Wow! We had a lift chair for my mom and it never got stuck like that!
If they don’t get out to fix grandpa’s chair…I’m sure you must know about ‘nose over toes’?
When he’s sitting and needs to get up, if he leans forward so that his nose is over his toes he should be able to get up with ease. Mom had this wonderful PT who taught us that trick.
