Turkey’s in the oven although no holiday smell quite yet (I like preparing the bird the night before). But the ceremonial cleaning, stuffing and double checking my list of things to do got me thinking about stuff.
You know how sometimes you think of the past, and it is what it is/was. Then I have moments like now. Thinking about my “web” past and how it really has been a big part of my life. Thinking of how much I truly have to be thankful for.
Earlier today Hubby and I had our own exchange of our good life and our blessings and how fortunate we are. But when I sat down at my desk to do a little work, a flood of memories started bubbling up, made sharper by browsing some of my old blog designs & pics (I love Adobe Bridge btw).
Although I briefly considered posting a few old designs/pics etc, I really don’t need them to make my point.
Do you realize how long some of us have known each other? Dana, Faith, Patti… Moosie, Batty (yay for FullMoon Webbies!), Bran, Weiniehead, Jeff, Jann, Froggy, Elise, DanMan, Allen (sorry if I missed anyone, it’s inevitable)… and a tremendous number of FullMoon Graphics visitors who have been with me from the beginning. And most of you are still here! Lori, AnnieBananie, Joe… good grief there are soooo many of you that I am so happy to have met.

I also have a confession to make. I “talk” to some of you more than any other real life friends that I have. Especially now that I’m not physically out in the working world. No more saving lives. My former coworkers were some of my best friends, and oddly enough, now that I don’t see them every day, it’s sad to say that we don’t talk much any more either. Lives change, relationships change. People I’ve known for 20+ yrs that aren’t a big part of my life any longer. :(
This post could go on infinitely. I just want you all to know that I am grateful that I met you. I am thankful for your friendship. I’m glad you’re here. Even when you’re not, I know that you’re out there.

I wish you all the very very best for your Thanksgiving Day. Whether you celebrate it with loved ones, or don’t at all. I hope you all have just a little bit to be thankful for, even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes, there has to be some hope, some glimmer of gratefulness in your life. I sure hope so.

Oh, are you bringing back some memories! I don’t think I’ll ever forget the nearly nightly conversations that went on some years ago. Moosie, Dan, etc. Those were some good times. BTW, are you still using NOF? I’ve gotten away from it myself.
Lucky for you that you get to have your turkey on Thanksgiving Day! Our hours & work days just don’t let it happen here very often. This year I’m delayed even further as our main fridge is on the fritz, and a new one we’ve ordered isn’t to arrive until next Tuesday December 1st. I just can’t be making anything with leftovers until then. Fortunately we do have my old fridge from 1977 out in the garage and it’s helping out a bit with two turkeys in its freezer. Anyway, I don’t get to cook turkey until about the 5th – then do it all over again for Christmas. I can barely wait! In the meantime I just might have to take myself out for a turkey dinner in town.

One of the things I’ve been grateful for over the years is stumbling across your site, back in the late ’90’s or early 00’s, I think it was – don’t even remember when it was any more. Not only were your designs so cool and intriguing, but your personality was too – you always say a little something, and the combination has always lifted my spirits and made me smile. Linda, I don’t envy you! Lately for Christmas I’ve been cooking a little more “unconventional” items—not “weird” things, just not ham or turkey. Yup, still using NOF. No time to learn other things, although I seem to be incorporating more sites within WP.

Aww, Lori, it’s been fun. I know what you mean re: FB. It really is too bad. Of course no one is twisting my arm or anything to use it, but I just don’t feel like blogging any longer.
