This is the last pc

December 27, 2006 4 Comments

that I’ll ever get. The migrating of everything off of my old one was a bitch. I think what compounded the chore, was that I am giving my old one to my step-son. My last tower I just networked to the new pc… ahhh well. It’s a done deal.

Just made a fresh pot o’ coffee, and now I’m going to relax and maybe reinstall a few programs here. Wanna see my new baby? I had to set up the old computer for awhile so that I could transfer stuff to an external drive, and blahblah. So here we are.

Everyone have a nice Christmas? It was a pretty nice day, even sans snow. Life is good.

Know what else is kinda cool? I told all my prospective new clients that I was taking a vacation until after the new year, so I’m taking advantage of this time to knock a few things off of my “to do” list. Heck, I may even get some prints framed, and start up that big printer that’s been sitting here gathering dust for the last… 3 yrs? Of course, then I’ll have to begin drawing again so that I can try it out. I’d like to sell some stuff on eBay too.

Ok, so maybe I’m getting carried away, but ya never know, right?

Sorry for the blabbering about this stuff, but of course it’s been so much in my head for the last week, I’m simply purging my brain so that I can move on.

Happy New Year guys! c’ya later.

spam-schmam

Geesh, thank-goodness for Askimet! 220 spam comments in the last 10 days.

What’s happening? Not a damn thing, at least nothing out of the ordinary. Same ol’ same old. I guess that’s a good thing, no?

July has been a stupid month as far as my psyche is concerned. I think the same humidity that makes my curly-ass hair weird, is pinching off my supply of serotonin in my brain! Dagnabbit.

Anyhoo… I think another cup o’ coffee is in order.
c’yall later.

muffin mama

I’m having “Muffins with Mom” tomorrow with my mumsy. Another wild social event at the Home. Seriously, they’re always having funnish events over there. Pretty cool.

My daughter will be lollygagging around Boston this weekend. So no mummy events over here. Lollygagging. Where in the world did that word ever come from?? Lolly; lollipop? Gag; the act of retching, expelling stomach contents. Lollygagging; Sticking said lollipop too far down making one puke? geesh.

Okeee, fast forward about… mmm… 20 minutes. I just nodded off briefly (saved lives today) and now the paragraph that I painstakingly kept my eyeballs open long enough to write, seems quite trivial. So I just spared you the pain of reading it and swept it into the gar-bage. whoopee.

Think I’d better get this butt to bed. OH! Almost forgot. If you are so inclined, wanna vote for the KittyKitty in our local online magazine thingie? For the “blog o’ the week?” That would be loverly. Gracias!

ok. c’yall later. Nitey-nite.
xoxo

1 biker + 1 laptop = headache

April 2, 2006 3 Comments

What a stressful day. First I had to install a wireless network here. Oh ya, “easy” – not necessarily m’dears. I think the first time I attempted it was complicated by the fact that I already had a hub for my cable connection… oh nevermind, not important.

Bottom line, I was successful with the wireless hook-up – yay. Everything is cool with the laptop connecting – yay. BUT, what was the tedious and stress producing activity of the day (ALL day) was getting hubby’s new laptop primed and set up for his use.

I don’t know how you laptop users get accustomed to that freakin’ pad/mouse business. It’s a pain in the ass if you ask me, and first thing tomorrow, I’m buying a good ol’ mousey for it. I don’t have the patience or the time to fart around with getting the little arrow “just so” in order to open what I want opened, and not every other window that I don’t want. Ya, ya, “you’ll get used to it…” — don’t wanna.

ANYway, as much as hubby has obtained a fairly decent knowledge of the computer now, he’s still quite a novice and just can’t grasp the fact that a computer can’t do ALL things by itself. So when his import file “Wizard” keeps telling me that his exported bookmark.htm is not a valid bookmark file, I don’t know what else the hell to do about it. Of course then *I* am the one who’s doing something wrong. Maybe I am, but at 12:00 a.m. I can’t deal with it any longer.. especially since now hubby is frustrated and pissed off about it. bah!

I’m also a little disappointed that I didn’t get to work on my redesign of Ink2Art today, which I’ve been putting off to work on client stuff.. ya, boo-hoo, poor me.

geeesh, maybe I should just go to bed and start over again tomorrow, especially since we lost an hour tonite with daylight savings time. Yay, spring ahead! Then again, I’m too hyper to go to bed… ok, you convinced me. I’m going to play with Ink2Art now.

Speaking of, you know that actress site I was working on? H-e-r-e’s Norma! Fun.

Alrighty – later guys.

Poor Lindsey.

I enjoy the winter Olympics, even though having them on doesn’t really lend itself to simply “listening” to them, ya know? Needless to say, I’m not getting much done these evenings. s’ok.

Have a warm weekend all… (unlike us Eskimos here!)
… altho if we were indeed Eskimos, we’d probably stay a lot warmer, yes?

shut. up.

Ever feel particularly annoyed (very!) by the blab and screaming on commercials for different asswipe shows? yuk. I just got pissed off at such a ridiculous one I had to put my tunes back on.

Although it must just be me at the moment, ‘cos this isn’t working either. Maybe it’s time for just quiet, ya know?
