It’s still early!

Well, it was… I set my clocks back already, and I was so excited because it was only 11:30, yippee! But that was over an hour ago, where did it go?? Honestly, how can an hour zip by so fast? You’d think I’d be used to that by now. geez.

OH my gosh, I had so many things I wanted to share with you, but now I feel rather discombobulated… racing against the clock (hyper much?!). ack!

So I came across this cool idea for making gift bows out of a magazine page. Isn’t that neat? Imagine the possibilities! I feel like doing Christmas with a little more flair than I have the last few years, enough with the Scrooge. Maybe it’s because we’ve now entered the world of having to share our daughter with her new family on the holidays, her in-laws. We get them on Christmas this year and will be “Skyping” with them on Thanksgiving. s’okay, that’s the way it goes, right?

Did I tell you that we visited with Jennie & Brian 2 weeks ago? It was wonderful. And we got to meet their new greyhound, Doris. What a sweetie pie! I’ve never met a greyhound before and it was so different because we’re used to a stocky, wide-nosed furbaby as opposed to a narrow, pointy nosed pooch. This is Doris. And you know Rosie, yes? A-n-d, you know what else was a little mind-blowing? They live right next to South Bend Indiana (Mishawaka), and the Notre Dame game played at home that weekend. My nephew Ben is a punter for ND, and it just so happens that my sister & niece were in town (from Florida) for the game and we didn’t even know it. Imagine that.

Ho-hum. Ok, now I’m winding down. That’s a good thing… time to get this butt to bed. THE GAME!! The SOOper hyped up, boo-or-cheer, Brett returns to Lambeau Field tomorrow as a VIKING! Can’t wait to beat them. Go Packers, Go Aaron!!

Actually, I don’t know how much Lucy-psycho-dog weighs, but every time I hit the snooze on my alarm clock, I have to lean and reach out to do so. Since Lucy is usually snuggled up against my back, gravity causes her to roll towards me a little more each time… so it’s not so much that it’s time to get up and turn the alarm off, I have to either squish Lucy when I roll back on top of her, or fall on the floor, or just get out of the damn bed. Realistically I don’t even need an alarm, but I still like to get up early before anyone else does.

Speaking of, it’s getting so dark in the a.m. already! Dang. So sad…. ugh.

I also just spent about 20 minutes going through the entire guide on the t.v. to see what I could watch tonite. Hubby went to a reunion thingie so I could be having a big ol’ shindig, but out of about… oh… 900 or so channels including OnDemand (hell, I would have even paid to watch something) I couldn’t find a darn thing. Geesh, how boring. BUT, since I’m kinda-sorta doing work related stuff, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to follow anything that was on anyway.

Sooo, I went from p.diddy’s “Making his Band” show to the CMAs. Go figure. But that’s ok, I’m getting necessary stuff done in spite of crappy background noise.

And that’s the latest poop around here. What about you?

Tomatoes and bugs

Where do bugs sleep? Seriously.

Hubby was surprised that I had picked so many tomatoes already early this morning and I said it was because there’s no bugs around at that time. I know that bees have their little nests or hives or whatever, but what about flies and just regular bugs? And do they really sleep?

Just curious….

It just occurred to me after visiting my AnnieBananie that a few weeks ago I posted a link on my FB page that I am quite sure that some of you may enjoy… at least one or 2 of you.

Daniel Karcher, his bluedaniel site. I can just click on the main page and watch the little film, but more importantly than that, the musical compilation just blows me away! I don’t know what it is, a little melancholy, kid-like, times past, where I would like to be… I am just so so in love with it. I would like to dream to that music.

Fresh Air n’ Bike Ride

Today is one of those “I-can’t-get-going-no-matter-what-I-do” kind o’ day. Unfortunately, I can’t feel that way too long because work is work, ya know? No workie, no money.

The weather has been pretty awesome the last few days, and I thought maybe breathing some fresh stuff and absorbing a little sunshine might help my brain cells, so I asked hubby to take me to Starbucks on the bike.

So, took a little ride, had a little caffeine, soaked up a little sun, and now I’m ready for a nap. ha. Ever do that? Been on vacation, especially to a rural, nature surrounded place, then when you get home you exclaim how tired you are and that it “must be from all of that fresh air”? No? Well, I know what I mean.

btw, that photo is obviously not Jim’s bike… we took that at the Harley Davidson Museum. ;)

stinky & tired & eBay

I hate that “my-hands-smell-like-stinky-dishcloth” smell. blrrrugh. I don’t understand why it happens so fast. I’m a big bleach freak, and I have a sneaky suspicion that once you “break-the-seal” sort of thing, and bleach the dishcloths, they get bacteria ridden & stinkier faster after that. Why does that happen? And then my hands stink and it doesn’t go away for awhile. Give me a bleach residue smell on my hands any day over the other.

We tried sponges for awhile, but then even they started to get stinky. I don’t get it—if I rinse well & hang to dry… oh well. It just irks me.

And tired. tired tired tired. I have a feeling that I’m just not getting enough hours of sleep time. duh, ya think?!

I stopped on over to eBay last nite, haven’t been there in ages. It still amazes me that people #1) WRITE SO DARN BIG ON THEIR ADS. Hello, I can read. #2) Take gawd-awful photos of what they’re selling. Geeez people, how do you expect to sell a white cookie jar, has no scratches, good condition with a photo of a blurry, pink blob?? Umm, how big is that blob? Oh, of course, no dimensions given. Screw eBay.

Did I tell you that I’m tired? I need to recline for a few….
