After the one-liners, anything else I write seems contrived.
so nevermind.

I just sent myself an email with an important message as the subject line. I’m going to do that every day, first thing in the morning when I’m organizing my other tasks. That way, since I have my email open and am using it all day anyway, I will see that one-liner and it will be my mantra for the day. See? Whaddaya think?
I just know that when I put on my other jeans on Saturday, I thought I had the wrong pair. They’re too darn tight. dagnabbit. I have another pair one size larger, I know I do… but I couldn’t find them. Oh, I could breath fairly well and everything, but not as comfortable as they were about a year ago. And I had to wear a looser shirt so you couldn’t see the blobbage over the waistline. Damn bread.
My elbow space is narrowing around me, which means it’s time to tidy up the place. When it begins to really annoy me and I can’t set my candle down anywhere or it will light something on fire, it is definitely time. Besides, it always gives me a creative boost when everything is all shiny and clean and helps me to get working, ya know?
Happy weekend all. Stay dry.
A quiet time to read… thoughtful, and more than nice. Altnoise
nice-nice. Operation Nice
What inspires you? What gives you motivation to achieve your dreams, your goals? It seems that it just doesn’t come as easily for me as it once did – which is silly, because it’s always within you. I’m discovering that lately I just have to do it, just begin. And that’s the difficult part – just beginning.
The last time that I remember having such conviction and strength to follow through with a dream, it was something that just *clicked* Boom! I was in there. Nothing could keep me from that mission. That’s what I’m looking for. I want a *click* in my brain to get going. But at this rate, that could be awhile.
Very frequently, this fella inspires me with his motivational “thoughts for the day.” I have so many favorites that I’ve bookmarked, but sometimes I just go through his archives… for Discipline, Imagine… you’ll have to find what works for you.
On a different, but somewhat related note, this site has some really great info – ExRx – Exercise Prescription. But the coolest part of the site is the Exercise & Muscle Directory. There are detailed illustrations of your body muscles which is excellent when you’re not really sure why the heck you’re doing those tricep pulldowns other than someone told you it’s good for that floppage on the back of your arm. It even has little photo animations of each exercise. Very cool.
Umm, one thing though… you have to actually get up and away from the computer screen to do the exercises.
I have a sneaky suspicion that my body is doing one of those “since I got older I just can’t seem to tolerate ____ anymore”, the __blank being tomatoes. Do you realize how devastating that is to me?? I love tomatoes. I eat them like apples. I eat them like popcorn. I’ve had at least one tomato sandwich a day since they’ve started ripening. And through the process of elimination, I do believe they are the culprits of my, umm… GI discomfort. Sucks I tell ya.
Other than that… plans for the weekend? mmm, nope. Not a darn thing. Might stop at a rummage sale on my way to Starbucks this morning. I have been very, very cautious and conservative this summer with the rummaging since we don’t need more junk. Just cleaned all of ours up n’ out, you know, with the house stuff.
Must visit Mumsy and Snickers. Probably tomorrow, s’posed to be nicer out then I can put the top down. Alrighty then, c’yall later. Have a good one.
