Of course it’s not *blahblah* for me, but it is a remodel update post. Most of the new lighting is up. That nite after they were installed (I had saved lives that day and didn’t see the update along the way), I stood in the dark and flipped the under cabinet lights off n’ on, the ceiling light, the over the sink recessed lights, and of course, the pendent lights look the coolest, so I just turned them on and simulated me sitting at my not-done-breakfast-bar, having my morning coffee and reading the paper. Very cool.
Today the counter tops are being installed, tomorrow the appliances are arriving, along with the plumber to hook the whole shabang up – sink n’ all. And an automatic icemaker within the freezer – oh joy! I really don’t like the schmutz on the outside of the door on a fridge, but the icemaker inside will be pure heaven since I drink so much iced tea and water. woohoo!
What else? The summer. Hope you’re all having a marvelous time. I really love summer. Heat, humidity, and all. I love driving with my top down, the sun on my face, and hearing the sounds of summer around me, and I get quite bummed when the season changes. I know a lot of people enjoy the fall weather, but to me, it makes me a bit melancholy because it’s simply a prologue to the cold and snowy winter ahead. brrrrrrr….
I’m in a chit-chatty mood this morning. What else ya wanna talk about? I know that Mumsy is probably gagging as she reads this, since she cannot WAIT until summer is over! Sorry Mom, I’ll turn the air on in the car when I pick you up tomorrow.
:)
Have you seen Bran’s baby birdies? The are adorable! Little babeees.
Well, s’pose I should start some work. You wouldn’t believe the sites that are in the works, but whose owners are in limbo for them because they’re having artistic blocks and have their lives to tend to sans web site. s’okay with me, there are plenty of other sites I’m working on as well. Yes, busy, but in a non-frenzied way. I believe it’s all secondary to the Summer thing I was referring to. Who wants to sit inside on a computer when the kids are home from school and there’s fun to be had outside?
My saving lives work days have been very sad this summer. W-a-y too many tragic accidents, paralyzing and sudden deaths. Many too young to die. Crying families and friends.
I can talk about it now, since it’s public information, but Frankie was a patient of ours for the last year or so. I was saddened and shocked that she passed away – she was a very vibrant and interesting woman. I will miss her colorful personality and conversations.
But enough of that… I’m outta there for now, don’t need to bring it home, right? Think it’s time for another pot o’ coffee. OH, which reminds me. Starbuck’s price increase. I may not buy the bags o’ beans in the future, it’s costly enough as it is (my regular treat to myself), but I can’t/won’t give up my venti-whatever at 5:30 in the morning on my way to the hospital. Besides, I rarely pay for it – my barista’s generously wave the cost of a cup for moi – frequently. The perks (ha! no pun intended) of being a frequent flyer. Or maybe because the $$ then goes into their tip cup? Whatever. I’ll just have to spend my money with the local roasters, which isn’t a bad thing. Good stuff as well. They just don’t open at 5:30.
OK. Must get busy. If you’re still with me here, have a WUNderful Wednesday, and I’ll c’ya next time.
