Tonight I was thinking about deleting this blog. How long do I leave this up for just anyone to read the last 15 yrs of my life? Especially in the earlier years. When I first started blogging (yes, I just said that), very few people knew what a blog was.
“It’s a what?”
“Kind of like a diary.. a journal, and you write it online for other people to read. And they have a blog, and you read theirs. And comment. Kind of like a conversation, only not.”
“oh.”
My Mom even started blogging. At one point she was one of the “oldest bloggers” around. She was in her early 70s and Time magazine even called her for a little interview. She was extremely proud of that and would tell people that she was “published.” She’s in a nursing home now. Blogging years later, through a sequence of events, she was confined to a wheelchair and couldn’t take care of herself. So she moved to an assisted care residence. We fixed it all up, very cozy, and she had her computer – her lifeline (besides me) and where she spent most of her time. Shortly after, it was determined that she needed more than they could do for her. She needed a place that offered more care and so that she could get intensive physical rehab. She didn’t improve with her PT and moved to the “skilled nursing” part of the residence… ya, this is a lot later.. tying up loose ends on this blog. Sounds weird… later.

Hello! I just wandered in here. Blimey, I remember downloading your free graphics way back when, and I am beyond delighted to know that you are still here. So am I, just. Feels like shouting into the wilderness at times. I miss the 90’s, Web 1 and all the wonderful websites.
Anyhoomst, I have a blog too though I rarely update it. It’s at https://thisismy.day. I put the link here because I want to put my main website link in the box below.

Hi Eunice,
So nice to see you! Sorry that it took me awhile to answer you. Like you said, it’s been ‘crickets’ around here for awhile. Yes, I too miss the 90’s (altho that sure doesn’t seem that long ago)! Websites were more creative – as were blogs.
I bookmarked your blog. Thanks for writing Eunice! :)

Hello Kitty,
I just discovered your website and was amazed by it (I loved your pics folder, you look very cool and happy on those photos). And I just read this blog post. If I may, please, don’t delete this blog, nor the website. Believe me, it brings joy to those who, at the bend of an hyperlink, fall into its magic.
Take care of yourself Kitty, and of your loved ones; sincerely,
-f6k
