Some time ago, I read the above wording on a billboard, at the intersection of a busy street. Pretty clever I thought. Then today, I saw another one:
I just think they’re so clever, don’t you? I wonder who sponsors them?
Just had to share.

I am sooo thrilled that I don’t have to drive a bunch of miles to meet with a new client today. She called me to reschedule. yay. I think that calls for a fresh pot o’ coffee, yes?
Speaking of… the other nite, hubby chauffeured me to my psych class ‘cos of the snow. Of course that always includes a stop at Starbucks beforehand. As he dropped me off in front of the building, I totally didn’t see the little curb and stumbled and flew across the sidewalk – splat! Purse flew, snow flew, knee-bone cracked on the cement, but most importantly, my fresh Venti full of Sumatra flew about 3 feet away. NOoooo, not my coffeee! Damn it all. I was so pissed.
No not hurt, just sad for my loss of coffee. Funny thing, when hubby picked me up an hour later, he commented on the fact that the spot where the coffee spilt was totally bare. It was still snowing, and no snow fell on that spot.
“What the hell was in that coffee anyway??”
ha, imagine that.
Anyhoo… just trying to get used to these new “computer” glasses o’ mine. Guess it’s a new thing – they’re still a presciption lens, just specialized for long periods in front of the pc. We shall see if they are indeed a good thing.
OH oh oh! The Yankee Candle store lady called me yesterday to give me a head’s up on a big tart sale starting today. 12 for $15 bucks. I haven’t been buying them too much anymore since they went up to $1.79 a piece. woohoo! Now I just need a cabana boy to go and get some for me. hmm… maybe I’ll just order some online.
Ok, coffee’s ready. c’yall later.
What should I ask qualified healthcare practitioner about generic medications
Daughter dearest got her bedroom pics on Apartment Therapy. Groovy.
Me? Oh ya know, the usual… thrill a minute etc.
;)
We’re going to remodel our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. In the 25 yrs that we’ve lived here, we have never done anything to the inside of our house, other than some aesthetical stuff here n’ there.
I know that it’s expensive, but having never done it before, I’m blown away by the cost! No, we’re not the DIY type of folks, like many of you guys – if anything, I’m the one who does similar things like that… we also don’t traditionally get additional estimates, ‘cos when we like someone and the price is right, it’s good enough for us.
But how in the world do you live with the upheaval in the house for a couple of months while the work is being done?? Yuck. It’s almost enough to discourge the remodeling… almost.
Other than that, I’m pretty damned excited about it! No more plaster and plastic tiled walls. Hallelujah, no more split tiles from a plethora of nail holes. And counter space… the list is endless. Plus! I won’t have to spring clean ‘cos we’re just getting rid of the dirty crap. ha!
Who knows, a new kitchen might make the food taste better too, yes?
That’s the latest news around here… and I’m sure it won’t be the last time you’ll hear about it! OH, speaking of 25-ish years, today is our 31st wedding anniversay. And they said it would never last…
:)
I gave my old pc to my stepson, who came over today to pick the stuff up. We also went upstairs (now rather deserted since Jennie moved out) to see if there was anything else he could use in his apartment. There really wasn’t anything else, but I did find a cardigan-like top that I had drawn on for Jennie when she was 11 yrs old. I was lookin’ for that thing too! Gotta show you (click for a couple shots of it)
Know what else was kind of funny? I talked to Jimmy on the phone tonite, and he said that when he powered up the pc, he was instantly transported back to our house ‘cos when the fan kicked in, the “Cherry St. Potpourri Smell” wafted into his room. Well, it could have been worse… at least it didn’t smell like sauerkraut or something, right?
Have a great Monday everyone.
I have to wonder if everyone else but me has heard about this… Animusic. Very cool computer generated music with animated… things playing instruments. Not a very glamorous description, just go see it. Actually, the link that I gave you is from Apple’s HD movie clip gallery – their site is here. But while I was on the Apple site, I watched a couple of the other clips, and o-myo-my, there’s some beautiful stuff there. Then again, I’m a ‘High Definition’ virgin. Nope, don’t have an HD t.v. yet… but I’ll live.
;)
… ok, I take that back. I just went back to the Apple site and watched a few more of the clips – most notebly the nature ones, with animals n’ stuff. Unbelievable! Soooo wonderific. Dang.
