Briefly…

  • I actually didn’t work on the pc today and got a lot of other things done, it was wonderful!
  • We hung my Joe Sorren print (yes, on a wall!)
  • It’s been 2 wks & 1 day as a nonsmoker. I feel good! (flowers for my progress from hubby)
  • I was overwhelmed with vegetarian recipes – I want to “cook meals” again
  • Other than the taste, why can’t humans eat good dog food, seriously. Our dog’s food (Innova, below)… caught my eye tonite and I’ve been on a mission to find out calories and fat etc (besides the actual analysis of ingredients)
  • Christmas stuff is packed away until next year
  • EXcellent NFC playoff game, yes? yay for the underdogs

Hello Friday!

I just looked at my QuitMeter and I was truly surprised that it’s been 5 days already! HolyMoly – go me! In the past when I’ve quit, I always got a cold. Like now. Otherwise I never ever get colds. My rationale is that there is so much crap in my lungs when I’m smoking that the cold-bug can’t get through.   ;)

Soooo… la-la-la-la-laaaaaa. Have a great weekend all!

C Merry has a way of transpiring one photograph into another and the results are not necessarily what you expect – very cool. What it isn’t is one of those Photoshop’d endings.

Yup, it’s that ol’ “Quit Meter” (Lisa, this makes me think of you!). Doing it again and I believe that this is it. I have a different mind-set so far… kind of weird, like I must really want it this time. I’m not doing it because I have to; like when the hospital went smoke-free or before I had surgery. I really, really want to. Cool, huh?

I went from fan to friend… and the funny thing is that it just happened. Jack & Nataly rock!

Stuck

Yes, Grampa’s chair is stuck. In the UP position. Anyone remember Mrs. Hoffnagle? She was a patient on the 80’s t.v. show St. Elsewhere, and she died when her hospital bed controls got stuck and the head came up as well as the foot of the bed & smooshed her.

No, Grampa didn’t fly out of the chair or anything… don’t exactly know what happened ‘cos we were out and when we came home and I walked in the living room, he was sitting all forlorn & tiny looking in hubby’s huge manly-man chair. He couldn’t really describe what happened, all I know is that it doesn’t go down (but it did keep going up).

Hopefully a service man will be able to come out tomorrow… hmm. Why always on either the weekend or a holiday?? Should be an interesting Christmas Day if he doesn’t.

Oh well, it won’t be the end of the world… we’ll all be together. Healthy, eating a great meal, and we’ll enjoy each other’s company. That’s what memories are made of.
