Geesh, if I had to go somewhere in the morning, I would be totally freaked out by now. That’s all they’re talking about on the news (what news??) snow snow snow 8″-12″ by morning. As it is, I wish it would begin already… kind of exciting.
Then, I was making a pot o’ coffee, opened a new pack of filters, plopped it in – what the hell? It was tiny and only went about 1/3 high in the basket. I looked at the package and the suckers were labeled “for up to 4 cups”. Why didn’t I see that when I bought ’em? I know that they were on sale, 2 fer 1. Dagnabbit.
Blahblah. I have a couple of Clementines sitting here waiting to be eaten. I also have a loverly pomegranite that I have to eat soon before it shrivels up but no time is a good time to tie up my hands for awhile. Is that bad or what?
Today is my daughter dearest’s birthday (the last one according to her). 30 yrs old. My-o-my. And the bestest gift she received, next to her morning coffee cup, was an engagement ring. Yes! Jennie is engaged.
Hubby & I were privy to the event since Brian came over by himself last nite and asked Jim for his blessing & permission to marry Jennie. He asked Grampa too which I thought was so sweet. Very cool. (see photo from below)
Oy. Just started to watch the Biggest Loser finale (hey, I like it, what can I say), but these folks really shouldn’t come out waving their arms over their heads.
Ok, gotta go! xoxoxo
I am in LOVE!
So many great songs, didn’t know which to link to… My Favorite Things is a free download, and I’m already singing this one, Beat the Horse and that’s a buck if you want it. These guys do it all. mm-mm-good!
(thanks joe!)
My routine in the a.m. is to make my coffee and get things ready for the men, which includes setting hubby’s cup out and even putting the schmutz in it as he likes (way too sweet for me). When my pot was done brewing, I filled my cup, fell asleep with my eyes open and filled hubby’s cup too. Then I stood there wondering what just happened. Wouldn’t have been so bad if I could drink his… so that was silly. Probably should have headed back to bed right about then.
I’m usually not into photography that much… oh, I appreciate it and admire beautiful work, I just don’t seek it out. This fella does some incredible things – fascinating to me.
Anyhooo… now that I’m awake, must do some work. Hubby’s taking me shopping today. woowoo! and if I’m good, I may even get lunch.Â
The fire is for the flaming newspaper that I was reading over a candle in my office this morning and the poop is for what was floating along with other gross tidbits on the basement floor this evening. Ok, so maybe it was just the corner of the newspaper that was on fire, but it was enough for me to freak and shake it all over the place to put it out, leaving pieces of soot on the floor.
The poop situation was worse but not as bad as about 8 yrs ago… (8 years??!!). Well, it was disgusting and that’s all I’ll say about that.
Then Rosie insisted on her evening tug-o-war game. It is truly a work out for me as well as for her. She’s really really strong, and tugging on a hard dumbbell shaped toy back and forth with her actually makes my biceps and shoulders sore.
Finally, I made a pot o’coffee and have been searching for a good movie to watch & relax & maybe get a little work done while it’s on… pffft! A kazillion channels and there’s not a suitable film in the bunch. bleh.
Speaking of work – just finished up a fun site today. One down… OH! Oh-oh-oh! The Badgers & Marquette are on! What the hell am I thinking? BIG rivalry those two.
Ok then, I’m outta here. xoxo
