Some time ago, I read the above wording on a billboard, at the intersection of a busy street. Pretty clever I thought. Then today, I saw another one:
I just think they’re so clever, don’t you? I wonder who sponsors them?
Just had to share.

oy. Adobe CS3 is almost upon us… although to upgrade the premium package is less than it was last time, and now it includes Flash, which the last one didn’t… OHhhh, I see, they divided them up a little different – no InDesign this time in the package I usually get. That’s just as well ‘cos since I don’t do Drive Online any longer (‘member?), I don’t really use it anyway.
I’m sleepy, but I must do my homework. Yes, I have homework. It’s that class that I’m taking Tues. nites. Of course, nothing like waiting until the last minute – that’s me!
Hubby and I are picking out the tiles for the bathrooms tomorrow – yipeee. I’ll give you the full report then, k?
(whoopee, I know)
;)
I feel so… restless tonite. or something. Not sure why.
One thing that I think I’m getting a bit anxious about is that the work on the bathrooms is going to begin next week. yikes. I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing yet, as far as the pieces and parts n’ stuff. I do know that I want to try and keep the Arts and Crafts architectural style of our bungalow as much as possible. In fact, I’m going ga-ga looking through all of the bungalow related magazines and web sites. Of course I’m sure most of the products are way over our budget, but they’re good for ideas.
I don’t want to break the bank on the downstairs bathroom ‘cos I want to spend more upstairs, as well as on the kitchen, ya know? I should take some “before” pics pretty soon…
Besides that stuff, this weekend past was the first time in my 21 yrs at the hospital that a patient got reeeally pissed off at me. Really. It’s a long story, but the gist of it is that the patient insisted that she was getting her therapy a particular way all along, when in actuality, we NEVER do it that way. Not to mention that I was the one giving her treatments previously, and did not do it the way she claimed. Geeesh.
After hearing of her dissatisfaction from the ad rep, I went to talk to her and to apologize (the customer is always right ya know). She was still fuming and would have no part of it, and admonished me out of her room. And damned if that didn’t make me all teary n’ stuff. I’m not used to that, ya know?
At least my co-workers assured me that she was a whacko, and had a whole bunch of funny quips related to things that she had said (‘cos they really were ridiculous), so that made me feel better.
Anyway… when I got home last nite, I just chilled and made a little Easter-ish set over on FMG (yup, still do that once in awhile). That de-stressed me as well. So there ya go.
Okee-doke then. Until next time kiddos.
xoxo
Holy-moly, I just woke up from a 5 hr nap. I saved lives today, then thought I’d just rest my eyeballs after dinner. Well, hubby let me sleep on the couch until almost 10:00. geesh. Made a pot o’ coffee, and now it’s like I just started my day. You know, where no brain matter is exactly operating to full capacity yet. Oh well.
Let’s see… summary from last week. Had pink hair briefly (by mistake) until she fixed it. Rosie-puppy chewed through the cable cord in the living room (on a Saturday of course), so hubby and I had to play Cableman, which, if you knew hubby, you’d know that it was not an activity that I would wish on my worst enemy.
The Badgers lost their second Final Four game. Bummer. Maybe next year.
Daughter dearest is teaching “pole dancing.” Yup, where you twist and turn and go upside down and around a fireman’s pole. It’s a fitness thing, silly. Although it is supposed to have some extra perks with the spousal unit. Fun.
umm… been having a run of fun, artsy client sites to work on lately. In fact, Michelle always has some groovy links to peruse. I started a site for her recently and am waiting for more goodies to get up there. A recent link she posted – Alison Palmer. Aren’t those birdies adorable?
Finished Peter’s site last nite…
Hey, where the hell is Bran? Anybody know? :(
Oh, know what? Do any of you remember a little story I wrote for Jeff a handful of years ago? Well, the other day I got an email from someone in Florida who said he was doing a search on google for “I think I’m an angel” (??) and read that story. He was writing because he felt the same way, and for years felt that he was kind of weird, or psychic or something. He just wanted to know if it was a true story, and if so, we had to be soul mates. I guess that’s just another amazing thing about the Internet, no?
And that’s about it for the monthly post thing. You all ok? From what I’ve read recently, looks like you’re all still pluggin’ away. Good deal.
Ok. Think I may be up all nite. Of course, that could bite me in the booty come around 2pm tomorrow. Oh well, then I’ll just have to take another nap, right?
c’yall next time.
xoxo
I am sooo thrilled that I don’t have to drive a bunch of miles to meet with a new client today. She called me to reschedule. yay. I think that calls for a fresh pot o’ coffee, yes?
Speaking of… the other nite, hubby chauffeured me to my psych class ‘cos of the snow. Of course that always includes a stop at Starbucks beforehand. As he dropped me off in front of the building, I totally didn’t see the little curb and stumbled and flew across the sidewalk – splat! Purse flew, snow flew, knee-bone cracked on the cement, but most importantly, my fresh Venti full of Sumatra flew about 3 feet away. NOoooo, not my coffeee! Damn it all. I was so pissed.
No not hurt, just sad for my loss of coffee. Funny thing, when hubby picked me up an hour later, he commented on the fact that the spot where the coffee spilt was totally bare. It was still snowing, and no snow fell on that spot.
“What the hell was in that coffee anyway??”
ha, imagine that.
Anyhoo… just trying to get used to these new “computer” glasses o’ mine. Guess it’s a new thing – they’re still a presciption lens, just specialized for long periods in front of the pc. We shall see if they are indeed a good thing.
OH oh oh! The Yankee Candle store lady called me yesterday to give me a head’s up on a big tart sale starting today. 12 for $15 bucks. I haven’t been buying them too much anymore since they went up to $1.79 a piece. woohoo! Now I just need a cabana boy to go and get some for me. hmm… maybe I’ll just order some online.
Ok, coffee’s ready. c’yall later.
What should I ask qualified healthcare practitioner about generic medications
Daughter dearest got her bedroom pics on Apartment Therapy. Groovy.
Me? Oh ya know, the usual… thrill a minute etc.
;)
