a “bitch(blog)” is born
Still sifting through… “miles and miles of files, pretty files of your forefather’s fruit, and now to suit our great computer…” (quick! name that tune).
Where was I… o ya, cleaning and saving stuff. I bought an email saving program with the idea of saving all of my important client email folders to a disk, right? Well, for some reason, I can’t write to either of my CD/DVD drives. Pisses me off. So. I dug out an Iomega Zip disk and figured I’ll try saving them to that.
Among some other oldie moldie stuff, I found the blog entry where I announced a new blog called “bitchblog.” Did I ever tell you how that came about? Back when blogs were used for sparring matches and cat fights between bloggers (nasty, nasty child’s play), Faith and I were going to be annonymous “bitches” and talk about other people. Well, needless to say, that didn’t last too long because that wasn’t a nice or fun thing to do really. So then Bitchblog.com just became *me* – taadaa.
ANYway, that was over 6 years ago, “So I say” – my first blog. Needless to say, many of the links aren’t functional.
OH, yay Wisconsin! Jennie was watching the game, Marquette & Wisconsin bball, over at a friends house, with fellow Madisonites and rival Marquette friends – now she won’t have to lose her bets and be caught dead wearing a Marquette sweat shirt when they go out tonite. ha!
footsies
I don’t know how it is in the ‘real’ world as far as the popularity of Crocs, but in the hospital, they are EVerywhere, and that’s why I refuse to buy a pair. For some reason, it just bugs me. I’m a Birki kind-o-gal, and I’m stickin’ to it. dagnabbit.
Hey – I need your advice. I bought PCMover to transfer data from this pc to the new one, right? But what’s the difference if I just download the stuff from here to an external HD, then upload it all to the new pc? Any difference? Other than probably being a lot easier? I have a boatload of downloaded programs – no disks – and I’m afraid that I’m going to screw something up and lose pieces and parts. Any suggestions?
‘nuther freelancer
Big changes at Ink2Art. Daughter dearest is giving notice at her current job. Yes, as Creative Director, she is resigning. She’s young, single, and if you don’t take risks, you’ll never know what could have been, right?
Soo, in addition to her freelance status, she will be Ink2Art’s illustrator, and more important to me, she will create the print work and logo design. I dislike print work very much, and her experience and abilities in this area will make my life much easier!
She has also received some commissioned painting jobs as a result of her gallery showing last month… can you tell I’m a proud mamacita?
My computer is scheduled to be delivered today – yippee! Though I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed about everything – not only the preparation and transfering of all the stuff from this pc to the new one, and cleaning my office (nooo, haven’t done that yet), but then there’s the holiday stuff. Trying not to get into the ‘bah-humbug’ mode – it’s all in the self-talk and positive thinking, right? “I love to decorate, I love it I love it I love it!! Can’t wait to get started! And shopping – oooo, let’s all go to the mall!” (nope, it’s not working).
Ok, enough now. I hope y’all are getting in the spirit of the Holidays. Right on people!

new pc continued…
Sorry for repeating myself, but I’m just so excited! Ordered the new pc today, and it just TOTally amazes me how far things have progressed in the last 4 yrs. Of course that’s a lifetime in the tech world, but in addition to a very roomy hard drive, I got an external one, 250GB, for a little over $100! And it has the Google search thingie for searching the drive, as well as the ability to set up a back-up schedule whenever. Holy Moly! Simply astonishing.
I’m sure this may not be new to some of you, but I haven’t done any upgrading or anything to this pc, so was not really aware of all the new stuff (for me) out there.
Dang. Makes me very happy.

v.10
For fellow NetObjects users – you’ve heard the news? v. 10 is out. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it! Of course I’m going to upgrade. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Btw, with the last update to v.9, they’ve done mucho work and made it WC3 compliant – finally!
I’m still going to give Dreamweaver 8 another try… in my spare time – ha.
