I actually made a couple of backup discs of a few photo CDs that I purchased – yes, really (I’m bad at doing that). While I was waiting for them to finish, I cleaned out all of the kazillion magazines that have been taking up space in here for… well, 2 yrs I guess.

I don’t know why I save old magazines… especially “How” and “Print” and CommArts (which I don’t get any longer… not all that useful if you ask me). Seemed kind of sacrilegious to throw them out though, ya know? So I just stuck ’em in my trunk, and lo-and-behold, my Starbucks lady took them. Cool, huh?

Saturday is Get Rosie day! Another life-as-we-know-it change. It is, really. I remember when we first got Dolly. It was the first time we had a big dog, and she was a challenge. Very stressful at times… it was like having a new baby, only worse! Well, this time should be different. My cabana boy will be here all day to guide her little ass in the proper direction right from the get go. “Cabana boy?” That would be my dear retired hubby… my Cabana boy.

Anyway. I wish I had an idea whether anyone is going to do that design thingie for ABS. It’s making me nervous that no one is going to submit anything, ya know? Guess I’ll just have to wait and see. Hmm, I wonder if no one plays along, and I do a design, if I can win the goodies? ;)

Ok then. Back to work. I’m working with a new client who makes baby dolls. They look  totally like real babies! It’s kind of creepy actually. Unbelievable.
Alrighty, c’yall later.

It’s a contest!

Hi guys. Guess what? I’m having a little design contest over on ArtBeat Street. Ya, just for kicks, but you could win a very cool prize if your design is voted the fav. Take a look and go for it!

I’ll c’ya later. Just wanted to let you know about that… need to get a little more work done and call it a day. xoxo

I have to show you our new family member! Meet Rosie.

Isn’t she adorable?? She’s an American Bulldog, but not here yet since she’s only 4wks old and is still with mommy and siblings. We’re picking her up on Oct. 14th. yippeee! Can’t you just smell her puppy breath and feel her little soft round tummy? It’ll be interesting to see how psycho Lucy dog will react.

Other than that, over the weekend I put up an Art Beat Street interview that I did with dwellephant. Go see, then visit Milan – he cracks me up! There’s another interviewee on deck, stay tuned.

ho-hum. I am getting quite bummed out lately with the changing of the seasons. I really really really dislike getting up and going to save lives in the dark! Makes me soooo sad that summer is leaving (did I say that already?). Seriously. I dislike the cold more and more with each passing year. But, there’s not a hellova lot I can do about that, right?

Ok guys, be good, and I’ll see ya later.
xoxo

bookmarks gone wild

‘evening!

You know, I used to periodically go through my bookmarks and weed stuff out, but now it’s to the point of no return. I’ve done well with organizing the categories pretty well, but they really are out of control. I briefly thought about just deleting some folders, but as with everything else that I hang on to forever, the minute I get rid of it, I’ll need it, ya know?

blech. I just ate a protein bar. One that I usually buy because of the low fat, low sugar, and high protein – and it satisfies my sweet tooth, usually. But the last couple of times, including now, I feel kinda icky afterwards. hmm. Remind me of that next time I want to eat one, k?

I’m trying to figure out which shopping cart, CMS, and/or bulletin board to play with and learn. I have clients who would like all of them and I need to step up my game. Even though I really don’t want to. But I must. Hubby is going out of town this week – to a Harley thing that we always went to together. I’m staying home to dad-sit. s’ok, have lots o’ work to do. But I figured in the evenings when I go out to the living room and keep him company for a little bit, I’m going to read some programming stuff. Normally, I’m pretty much in here all day and most of the nite, but I can’t just let him sit out there 24/7 by himself. Soo, that will be a good opportunity for me to pick up a book or two, yes? Yes, I thought that was a good idea.

I think that’s about it for tonite. Just wanted to *touch bases* with y’all. okee doke, until next time. xoxo

Divas cont…

August 21, 2006 5 Comments

Vote for AlanFunny how things go round on the web (ooo, profound statement). You know how Mumsy brought up the Digital Diva thing the other day? So now she writes me and directed me to this page, and how the heck did that guy know all of that stuff, or even find her page to begin with?

Well well well… about that round and round the web thing. Here’s Alan around that time…

Then there was this – Pixel View… and one link leads to another and so on and so forth.

And as long as I’m reaching into the KittyKitty vault, of course there’s this one too…

OH, and one more for the ladies!

Ha, I don’t exactly remember what the “special guest appearance” thing was about, but he certainly was/is a supah-stah! (sorry poopiehead, I couldn’t resist!)
;)

So there ya go! Flashback Monday.

ah-ha. Mumsy has dug up some old Diva Dirt for your entertainment. Oh great. Next entry she’ll probably link to that lovely, maniacal photo of me that accompanied the article that was in our local newspaper.

What’s kind of interesting is the list of “supporters” for the Digital Divas vs Microsoft – dang, that seems so long ago.

Check it out.

’tis my saving lives weekend… even though today was one of those ‘pull the tube so he dies’ days. Ya, I know… it’s not really like that. Well, it IS, but it’s for a reason. Sorry, didn’t mean to sound so crass, but in the end, that’s what happens when I remove life support from a patient (per M.D. orders!).

Anyhoo. Gotta go. c’yall later.
